Breakout

It sometimes feels like someone’s borrowed the batteries that should be in my head and are using them for something else. Like the remote. Or some computer game involving role play as some sort of zombie with their head-batteries missing. Batteries are rainy-day energy, realms of fizz and crackle for when we’re not in the mood for producing our own energy. Alternative uses for batteries include keeping chickens. Chickens are also stores of energy in a way, but only if you’re a carnivore and ingest them correctly. Battering rams are altogether something different, in that they are the inert tools of those with plenty of energy already on offer. A perfect battering-ram user is a wrestler just about to perform his strut of glamour before gracing the squared circled. Wind turbines would be redundant if only we could channel these sweating grunts and furious yelps of hype from wrestlers reacting to each other’s presence.
